Naveen Kumar, is the founder and Managing Partner of Beacon Advisory, a niche talent consulting firm based out of Mumbai, India. Naveen’s personal mission statement is “To encourage, engage and equip others to believe in the limitless possibilities”. Beacon Advisory collaborates with all kind of clients who wish to pursue a transformation journey – using digital, analytics and a “human first” approach.
Naveen served as a HR Leader with the JSW Group till the beginning of 2021 at their HQ in India. He had joined JSW in 2014 after serving as Head of Global Human Resources for three publicaly traded companies, including Lehman Brothers, where he held the top job for two years. Before that, he was the Head HR for Application Services Business of Hewlett Packard India and earlier Senior HR Lead for Mascot Systems, a leading IT services catering to GE worldwide businesses. During his formative career in HR, Naveen honed his Employee Relations skill in the manufacturing units of Asian Paints & VIP Industries.
With a broad, global background in all functional aspects of Human Resources, Naveen has a record of success in executive recruiting, talent and leadership development, cultural change management in several M&A, labor and employee relations, inclusion and diversity, board governance, digitalization and strategic planning. In his more than two and a half decades of HR career he has deployed best practices of Talent Management across several industries.
Naveen holds a Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources from XLRI, Jamshedpur and is also a ICF certified Coach from Behavioral Coaching Institute, USA. He is also a licensed Practitioner of NLP Life Training.
He is an avid reader, an outdoor sports enthusiast, frequent traveler and a proponent of global peace.
